Girls Band Cry Review - Immaculate Immaturity
Girls Band Cry is hilarious, visually excellent, has an awesome aggressive tone, and has great emotional elements that play into the characters, atmosphere, music and themes. I loved this anime and highly recommend it, it completely lives up to the hype.
Bocchi the Rock Ch. 78 Review - Personal Lives
This chapter gives us some more development on the upcoming Kessoku Band CD release party, as well as a problem with a heavy topic that Ame and Bocchi have to face.
Train to the End of the World Ep 12 Finale Review- End of the Line
The finale to this runaway train roller coaster! It was a great and satisfying finale albeit with some minor issues.
Spring 2024 Anime Season Roundup
This was an excellent season! Lots of great slice of life between Jellyfish, Girls Band Cry, Yuru Camp, and Euphonium. We got some awesome action and cool worlds from Train to the End, Kaiju no.8 and Dungeon Meshi. All of these shows had great comedy but Konosuba mostly knocked it out of the park. I'm looking forward to next season, though not as many for me as other seasons.
Attack on Titan - The Heart of Humanity - Cliff Baby Scene Analysis
The cliff baby scene in AOT is the most emotionally powerful scene I’ve seen to date. The baby represents the beating Heart of Humanity, and all the complexities and layers of the human condition.
Train to the End of the World Ep 11 Review- On and Off a Train Towards the End.
The girls bust straight into Ikebukuro, giving us some great action, characterization, and setup for the finale.
Train to the End of the World Ep 10 Review- Artistic Expression Galore
Time for episode 10, where we get an artistic conflict in Shiinamachi. We got a very funny and goofy episode this time. This will likely be the last hurrah of truly jovial shenanigans.
Train to the End Ep 9 Review - Youka’s Re-Introduction
This episode had a lot of exposition and setup, but I don’t mind as we have had a lot of action packed episodes and this is the stuff I really wanted to get into.
Bocchi the Rock Ch. 77 Review- Hard Work and Memories
This chapter gave us so much more to love about Nijika and Ryo while continuing the topic of the characters responding to the music video release. I absolutely adore all the wholesomeness we got here, and the comedy was on point too like usual.
Train to the End Episode 8 Review- Traumatic Magical Shogi Battles
The girls have to become magical girls to fight wacky shogi monsters while considering their past trauma.
Train to the End Eps 6 + 7 Review - Insensitivity and Degen Zombies
Train to the End 6+7 Review. Shizuru is an asshole and zombies are degenerates.
Bocchi the Rock Ch. 76 Review - Anxious Heart to Heart
Bocchi the Rock chapter 76 is an excellent chapter, giving us a ton of great focus on our two social anxiety ridden music girls.
I Watched Yu Yu Hakusho for the First Time - Spirit Detective Saga
I recently watched the Spirit Detective Saga of Yu Yu Hakusho, which is the first 25 episodes. I’ll be giving my thoughts on it, including spoilers. I am a fan of this show, I liked it more than I expected to. I think this show has done well so far at making me interested in what surrounds the pretty cool fights. Though it does fall into some issues of aging, common shounen tropes and worldbuilding that I am not a huge fan of. But they do not eclipse its many strengths.
Train to the End Eps 4 + 5 Review - Bad Company
Back with the Gatan Goton gang for episodes 4 and 5. We focus on the girls dealing with a tiny military dictatorship ruled by a nerd in the process of fixing Akira, who gets her butt mushroom pulled out and goes baby mode. These two episodes also showed us that the gloves are off when it comes to absurdity and its dark themes.
Dissecting the Kaiju No. 8 OP (Non-Spoiler for Past Ep 2)
The Kaiju No. 8 Opening is fantastic and gave me so much to analyze and theorize!
Glass of God First Impressions Review - Tastes Nice but I’ve had Enough Drinks
This is a fine anime, but just does not suit my tastes enough.
Train to the End Ep 2 + 3 Review- Tracks and Mushrooms
Episodes 2 and 3 were great continuations of this super funny, interesting and thought provoking show!
The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic S1 Anime Finale Review
Finale was solid, showing how it is at its best focusing on the characters rather than on fighting. I loved the show, but the criticisms a lot of people have are fair.
Train to the End of the World Ep 1 Review - We’re in for a Wild Ride.
Rei Caldombra loved the first episode of Train to the End of the World.
